Multi-Crew Cooperation Instructor course

What is it?

The aim of the MCCI course is to illustrate, develop and train the skills you need to to provide MCC training in a modern commercial air transport aircraft simulator. Designed in accordance with EASA Part-FCL FCL.905.MCCI – FCL.940.MCCI, it prepares you for your future instructor career in a modern transport-category aircraft, such as the Airbus A320.

What does it include?

The course is structured in three phases:

In this phase you will learn all the theoretical information required for the successful completion of this course. It takes 3 days of classroom training. Applicants holding or having held an FI(A), TRI(A), CRI(A), IRI(A) or SFI(A) certificate shall be fully credited towards this requirement.

At the end of this phase you will have a good command of JOC, CRM, MCC, and APS principles, all of them to be applied during the simulator instruction training phase.

This phase consists of the application of core instructor competencies to MCC training in a commercial air transport environment, including principles of threat and error management and CRM. It takes 1 day of practical training, and the content of the training program is covering MCC course exercises in sufficient depth to meet the standard required for issue of the MCCI(A) certificate.

This phase consists of 4 hours of flight simulator instruction, under the supervision of a TRI(A), SFI(A), or MCCI(A) nominated by the ATO for this purpose. These hours of flight instruction under supervision include the assessment of the applicant’s competence.
